The Hate Evil Hall Homestead
Circa 1797
In 1797, a man named Hate Evil Hall built a center chimney cape at the top a hill over looking the Chandler River in Jonesboro, ME. Over the decades, an addition and a second story was added, the center chimney system removed and replaced with a center hall and staircase. Today, the homestead reflects many different periods of architecture which add to the charm and character.
